What this section is all about
Dave has been appreciating and enjoying jazz for a lot of years. In that time he has made many discoveries about players as well as the music. He has previously shared some of his findings and ideas in print, a list of which can be reviewed on the Track Record page.
The articles that appear here are some of his unpublished works covering a variety of subjects for general jazz listeners as well as musicians.
As a 282-page paperback, Jazz Bass Artists of the 1950s represents the pinnacle of a lifetime of jazz listening. It is the first of several full-length books on stellar jazz artists and their recordings on the other major instruments of jazz.
